Welcome !

Friends of Central,

On behalf of the congregation of Central Baptist Church, allow me to welcome you to our website! We hope that you find this site helpful and are able to learn a little about our local fellowship. Central is an ever growing, intergenerational church that exists for the glory of God out of the belief that we have been made in His image expressly to be in relationship with Him, as we live out our faith Coram Deo, before the very face of God. Our aim is to glorify His name through all that He has called us to do. We value blended styles of corporate praise, praying together, reading His Word, and hearing His Word preached and taught. It is our belief that God has called us to love Him while loving one another by reaching out locally and globally, to Polk County and the ends of the earth.

We are sinners in need of God’s grace and mercy. By His grace, we are people who have been changed and are being changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thankfully, while we might not know what the future holds, we are certain that God reigns sovereign over His creation.

It is truly a blessing and honor to serve alongside dear brothers and sisters here at Central. As we look at our congregation, we see a variety of backgrounds and stories with one commonality- the Gospel of Christ. As a part of our mission, we would love to minister to you however God would allow. Please feel free to search our website and learn more about what God is doing in and through this local fellowship and contact us if we can be of any support.

Coram Deo,

Melvin Cates

Associate Pastor

Our Mission is to preach, teach, and live the Gospel for the glory of God!
Our Vision is to glorify God in Livingston, Polk County and the world.

We do this through...
  The Word and Worship
Being a mission focused multi-generational church that is growing in holiness.
Being a biblical community of believers marked by humility and displaying God's love         for each other.
Equipping the saints to be witnesses for Christ and to serve the least of these.
Being a people who have been affected by God's mercy and grace in such a way that
affects the way we live in the world.
