Can God Use You? Yes, He Can!

Every person within the body of Christ is called to do ministry.

Most of us are familiar with Ephesians 2:8-9, which tells us how we are saved. But many do not know verse 10 which tells us why we are saved. The scripture says, "For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them." A little bit farther in that same book, in Ephesians 4:11-12 scripture tells us that God calls Pastors "for the training of the saints in the work of ministry." Simply put: God saved you so that He could use you in a ministry to do good works. In 1 Corinthians 12:27, the Apostle Paul teaches, "Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it." Because Christ's church is made of many individuals with different gifts, God expects us to depend on others. In 1 Peter 4:10, we learn that "based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God."Spiritual Gifts - Unlike other kinds of gifts, a spiritual gift is God-given. Through these gifts, God equips his people in particular areas of ministry. Every Christian has been given the spiritual gift of service and as we live out that gift God will show us other areas where he has gifted us. As well, God will affirm that gift through the body of Christ. We encourage you to seek the Lord, about where he has gifted you, and then use those gifts in service to Him.
