Dr. Steve Brazzel's Bio

Central’s Pulpit Supply Committee is excited to recommend to the church Dr. Steve Brazzel as our Interim Pastor at this time.

During a Special Called Business Meeting on Sunday, January 17, 2021, immediately following the morning worship service, we will vote (without discussion) on this recommendation.

Dr. Brazzel came to Unity Baptist Association, in which Central participates, in 2018 as the Director of Missions. In his first two years at UBA he has helped transform the ministry of our association to focus on Church Health, Church Engagement, and Church Revitalization.

He began ministry as a youth minister while in college, served in a church in Seagoville during seminary and then pastored Spring Creek Baptist Church in Spring, Texas for over 20 years. He resigned from Spring Creek in 2013 to do mission work with an organization he founded with some other ministry friends, Exposed To Christ Ministries (www.exposedtochrist.com). As Director of ETC Ministries he works to help connect churches and believers to mission opportunities around the world. Steve has traveled to over 20 countries leading mission trips and sharing the gospel.

Steve and his wife Julie reside in Spring, Tx, have two beautiful daughters, Holley and Courtney, and one perfect grandson, Jackson. Steve graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Radio-TV-Film and then went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to earn both the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees.

We will conclude our corporate worship service on January 17th and transition into a Special Called Business Meeting to have an up/down vote on this recommendation from the committee with no discussion. We invite all members to join us in the sanctuary in order to participate and rejoice in this direction with us. Please continue to pray for both the Pulpit Supply Committee and the Pastor Search Committee in the days and weeks to come.
